Lesson Sequence
The lessons in this unit have been designed specifically to allow students to develop higher order thinking skills through a build-up of knowledge, to eventually enable students to create their own work and use the skills they have learnt to present information. Each lesson builds on from the last to ensure students are given a strong foundation of knowledge and are expanding on what they have already learnt. The lessons begin by showing the students new information about Macbeth, and allowing them to get to know what the unit will be about. It shows the students the technologies they will be using to complete the unit, and then allows the students to use these technologies to create their own ideas. The lessons use information about the previous unit the students completed to ensure they are building on the knowledge they already have. Specific scaffolding is used to keep the students on track with the tasks and provide them with some foundation ideas and concepts to get them started. The lessons have been designed so that during the final lessons students use the information they have been taught to create their own concepts about the theories.
